Getting in the advent spirit with this page.

Hi,it's me Bente here to share one of my latest pages for Inkido.

I hope to find you relaxed and well and enjoying your weekend.
Unfortunately this will be a rather short and sweet post as my regular Internet is down and I find myself writing my post on my mobile phone for the first time....

Ok, here is my layout, and I am
sorry I have not been able to edit my photos much.....

I used the lovely 'Happy Christmas' for this and added quite a few inkido flowers to embellish.

Here are a couple of close ups too:

I took a few pictures of my creative process but those are on my DSLR and I cannot get them transferred just now,but maybe I can add them as soon as I get my connection back. :-)
I very much enjoyed stencilling with the gold medium and also making the stars with gesso.

The burgundy geraniums match this collection beautifully.

I used the olive package of Harmony flowers. I just love that dark green glittered bloom. Soo lush!

I made the sweet green vine wreath by cutting the pretty green music paper of the Happy Christmas collection with my Silhouette Cameo. The Santa tag was also cut from one of the patterned papers.

Again, sorry for the 'crappy' photos!
Hope to see you soon again!!

Are you ready for some Christmas cards?

Hi there scrappy friends!!

Now the time has come to start sharing some of all those cards I have been making since the latest LOT with  gorgeouus PD X-mas papers  arrived in my mailbox! Recently I shared these cards on the Norwegian Papirdesign blog and  I thought I would post them here as well!

I love the 'traditional' feel that the seasonal products from Papirdesign have. Here I have picked colours like red and cream and mixed them
up with se trendy gold and some green.

All the tags and the birdpicture were cut from Papirdesign papers.

Those were my three cards for  today.
I hope you liked them!

So delighted to tell you of a new opportunity for me.

I am super duper delighted and excited to have been invited to new DT of the Scraps of Elegance kit club!!

I LOVE the look of their kits and always have been impressed with what I have seen posted in the name of SoE on Facebook as well as on their blog.
I am really sooo looking forward to this!!
I feel that the style of the kits is right up my alley and from my short experience on the SoE forum the people there are lovely too!!

I wasn't really planning on applying. I had been telling myself my plate was full. But on October 30th my term with Paper Issues was up so I was kind of 'allowed' to condsider a new team.So a few hours before deadline I decided to give it a go.
I didn't really have much hope of being picked, but telling them I was interested was a good start :-) I am pretty glad I did!!

First I will show you the three lo's I sent in. I found it was so difficult to pick only three, because I wanted to show I have different sides and that I love to use different techniques.

And here is the announcement from the blog:

''Design Team Results are in!

Before I let you in on the amazing artists who have joined our team, I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who took the time to submit applications.  We truly enjoyed seeing your beautiful work, and we wish we could invite everyone who applied to join the team!  We only have a few spots available each call, and we hope you will consider trying again during our next call.

And now, the big news, we are honored and excited to announce that these are the talented ladies who will be joining our team!

Debbie Sherman

I'm Debbie and I live in Wyoming with my husband Jeff and our 2 Labs Mojo and Pearl. I'm also a grandmother of 7, who inspire me everyday, they are the reason I started scrapping!

I have been involved with one craft of another all my life.  I started out beading jewelry when I was about 7 and sewing when I was 12. One day I discovered scrap booking and then it became an obsession/passion!  My husband thinks I'm a hoarder now but I say I'm just well supplied. My style varies and over the years has changed.  One day I can be in a Shabby Chic mood and the next day  I find myself elbow deep in paint and art journals.  I'm a visual person and when I see a product I love I create around it.  I draw inspiration from many places, flea markets, family, grandkids, old and vintage and color.

I'm an avid photographer and have been blessed with many professional photo opportunities. I spend time with my camera daily. More photos = more scrapping!!
I'm beyond honored to be designing for Scraps of Elegance  and with all the wonderfully talented designers you are about to get to know.

Patricia Basson

'Hello SOE friends...

Patricia Basson from Secunda in South Africa saying Hi to new and old friends! I am beyond happy to have been chosen to join the SOE Team and look forwards to working with Kits that I have been admiring for some times.

I have been scrapping for a few years now, since end 2006, but have only really started enjoying playing with papers and mediums these past 3 years, after meeting and following fellow scrappers on Face Book and other social networks...I have a few idols who inspire me tremendously and hope that in a small way, I might be an inspiration to some one else as well.
I don't really place myself in a certain style category, for I love different styles and techniques, it all depends on my mood of the day to decide how my page will turn out. I do however love to layer, distress and occasionally sew on my pages. Also love working with flowers and adding embellishments to my work. Lay outs, cards and tags are what I enjoy doing most and have tried my hand at some Off the Page items as well.
I do hope you are going to enjoy my work and I'm hoping to meet some new friends along the way...
Thank you once again to Melinda and the SOE Team for inviting me into their group...."

Bente Fagerberg

Hi my name is Bente Fagerberg, I am Norwegian and I live in a small Swedish village.

I love to scrap and craft and also to spend time outside in my large unruly country garden.I think I have scrapped for about six years now but have become more serious about it the last couple of years since I have been invited to different design teams.
I spent quite a few years at University both in Norway and Sweden exploring the world of languages, economics, statistics and art. But my very best years I spent as a stay at home mom to my three daughters who are now almost all grown up. We lived in Chile, Mexico and England during these years and got to learn and love a lot about these different countries. Since my children have grown up I now co-own a small business selling fashion accessories to shops and boutiques mostly in Sweden.
I love the freedom it allows me.
I am currently on the design team at Les Papiers de Pandore, Papirdesign, Inkido, Scrap for Helpand a I am a PaperHaus Magazine contributor.
I am so delighted to be a new designer here at Scraps of Elegance!

To Be Announced

Shhhhh... it's a secret!  Our fourth new designer has a current design team commitment that we don't want to compromise.  In order to be fair to all parties, we are waiting to make an announcement until that commitment has ended.  So stay tuned, more info coming soon!

The Mystery member has also beeen announced now and it is the mega talented Swede Angelica Åström

The newest members of our Design team family will begin designing with our January kit, and we cannot wait to see their gorgeous work!

A Christmasinspired page for Papirdesign and Scrap for Help.

Time for the November challenge at Norwegian brand Papirdesign as well as the challenge blog Scrap for Help. This is the page I made:

I used the latest collection called 'Julehilsen' for this page.

My regular Internet connection is down so I'm afraid that neither the text nor pictures for this post has been subjected touch editing.

The oval clipboards with the X-mas sentiment are great additions to any seasonal project.
Swirl and flowers are by Pairdesign except the large red rose which is by Prima Marketig.
I cut out the Santa from a sheet of vintage images.
The title is a combination
of white alphabetstickers from Papirdesign and green Thickers.
Thanks for looking. Hopefully I'll have my Internet connection back to normal soon... Take care!!

''Happy in the Snow'' using Pandores new winter collection

This is the first page I made using the new collection from Les Papiers de Pandore called ''Winter Memories'' Lovely collection don't you think...?

And of course some more pictures to show off some of the details.

All of Julies collections have cute decorative pins that match the papers perfectly.
They are often great for mixing with most of the previous collections as well.

Apart from ''Winter Memories'' I only added a few little details like the washitape and the sequins. I used my Silhouette cameo for the word 'FUN'.

Thanks for taking a look. Hope to see you soon again :-) !
Hugs!!

Guest designing at Veckans Skiss (This weeks sketch)

Today I have a fun sketch and a cute page with my little goddaughter in it.
I am this weeks guest designer at 'Veckans skiss' and thus also the creator of this weeks sketch.
Hopefully a few of you will be inspired to join in and might possibly be tempted by the fact that I also have a small RAK to give away over there. :-)

And here is the sketch I made from the page:

(To check out the site there's a link at the bottom of this post.)

These gorgeous papers,... and I actually believe every little bit of gourgeous scrapbook product on this page is by Norwegian Papirdesign. I am on their design team and so lucky to get flowers papers etc landing in the mailbox from time to time...

The pretty brick paper and also the flaky paintboards are actually part of the new Christmas collection, but so versatile they go any time of the year.

Close up of the embellishments I used... Chipboards, cherry blossoms, mini roses, mulberry flowers, and the beautiful peony in Purple here. The pearl swirl is a piece of one of the large ones that PD make in different colours.

My title 'Utforska Världen' is Swedish for 'Explore the World Around You'.

I hope you like my sketch and page and hopefully you will take part in the challenge.
It would be so much fun to see you there.
Thanks to 'Veckans Skiss' for having me!

Hugs!

Anniversary page for PaperHaus Magazine fall edition using Prima Marketing goodies

Hi and Happy Sunday to you all!

I almost forgot that  I still have a couple of pages to share that were in the Fall edition of PaperHaus Magazine. The one I am posting today was for the special anniversary section where all the members of the contributing team would do a project to showcase their style etc.

Here is the page I made:

I usually don't have time to scrap anything that is not made with products from one of my three manufacturer teams, but this time I decided to use some of the new things I bought from the previous CHA releases. Most of this is by Prima Marketing.

I used the paper collections ''Lyric''and ''Divine''

The larger blooms here are Prima flowers and the small but so lovely  mini roses are made by Papirdesign.

I just love all the shabby prettiness of the Ingvild Bolme line of embellishments for Prima Marketing. They are so fun to use and really packs a large punch in a small package.
Here I have used one of the zippers that have small words on them.
The little tag peeking out at the top has a La Blanche stamp on it.

The round piece that I used for my title was cut out from one of the gorgeous papers. I used textile stickers to write out the title, which is in French and means ''My Reason for Beeing''.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the pretty doily underneath the flower cluster.

The cute dressform is by Dusty Attic and sooo sweet! I added a few bling stones for extra glamour.

Thanks for looking. Hope to see you here again soon!
